Emergencies

For after hours care, please call SASH to discuss what you may need to do and to arrange immediate attention if necessary. They have a veterinary emergency, trauma and intensive care unit (vetICU) with a team of experienced staff that can provide critical care to your small pets when the Five Dock Vet Hospital is unavailable.

As an emergency service, there is no appointment system for the vetICU - emergency cases are triaged and seen in order of urgency. Please be patient and understanding as the staff at the vetICU aim to keep waiting times as short as possible.

Once pets are treated and are stabilised, they can be discharged from SASH. If there is a need for ongoing care, please call the Five Dock Vet Hospital to arrange this.
